OUR HISTORY
Phenox Consultants Caribbean used to be known as Buck Consultants and is located in Suriname since March 2010. Buck Consultants already had successful offices in Curaçao and (temporarily) in Aruba and opening an office in Suriname was the logical choice because of language and location. Since 2011 our office is located at the Lim A Postraat 18, which is just outside of central Paramaribo. Soon enough, the team expanded with junior and senior consultants, and the name Buck Consultants became known in Suriname in the actuarial world and among pension fund managers. As of 2017, Buck Consultants Suriname continues its services under the name of Phenox Consultants Caribbean, to emphasize the connection with our colleagues in Curaçao. Just like before, we can rely on our colleagues in the United States (from the parent company Conduent) and the Netherlands (Phenox Consultants), if necessary.

Hans Petersen, Managing Director

Hans Petersen (1959) has been employed by Phenox Consultants Caribbean since September 1, 2009. Hans has worked for the Royal Netherlands Navy for years and has studied law and legal computer science. During his many positions in the Navy, his gained legal knowledge and experience came in handy, especially during contract negotiations and more recently in the transfer of pensions from local civilian defense employees to the APC in Curaçao.
Currently, he is responsible for all operations, acquisition, marketing and customer management and represents Phenox Consultants Caribbean in Suriname.

Glennfor Hellement , Senior Actuarieel Adviseur

Glennfor Hellement works as a senior actuarial consultant at Phenox Consultants.
After his secondary education in Curacao, he successfully completed the Master of Science Actuarial Science program at the University of Amsterdam, among other things. Glennfor now has over 16 years of work experience as an actuary in the Netherlands and Spain. As a senior consultant, his work included Solvency II (implementation) work for life insurers in Spain.
At Phenox Consultants, he focuses on consulting and certification for life insurers, pension funds, employers and director-major shareholders in the Caribbean.
Glennfor Hellement works as a senior actuarial consultant at Phenox Consultants.

Helma Blommers (1983) has been with Phenox Consultants Caribbean since December 1, 2011. Helma has worked 10 years with Nationale-Nederlanden N.V. in the Netherlands, first in the life insurance department and then in the department that provided pension funds with annual reports. Now she is engaged in actuarial calculations and pension administrations for several large Surinamese companies.

Urdize de Getrouwe, Junior Consultant Pension Communication

Urdize de Getrouwe (1982) works for Phenox Consultants Caribbean since April 1, 2012 as a Junior Consultant Pension Communication. As such, she is co-responsible for pension administrations and is as point of contact also handling all activities for the Suralco Pension Desk.
Urdize has a Master's degree in Education and Research for Sustainable Development and a Bachelor's degree in Agogical Sciences and Educational Studies.

Melissa Harper is employed with Phenox Consultants Caribbean as Frontdesk Manager/Junior Assistant Consultant since June 1, 2015. Melissa earlier worked with one of the larger hotel concerns in Suriname and has a vast experience with administration and hospitality. She has successfully completed the MULO and the VWO in Suriname and is currently studying at the Institute of Teachers' Training (IOL).
She is currently handling the day-to-day activities for the pension fund administration and assists all team members. Due to her experience in the hotel industry, she is the perfect person to act as the face of Phenox Consultants Caribbean.
